Stewart graduated with a Business Degree, before studying Law and was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1992 and in Northern Ireland in 1994.

Stewart was formerly Head of Commercial Property, Residential Property and Private Client and advises a spectrum of clients including investors, developers, funds, lenders, housing associations and insolvency practitioners. He has a wide range of experience for both local and international clients with high value transactions. Stewart also advises on property aspects of litigation.

Stewart is part of Elliott Duffy Garrett Commercial Property team which attracts praise for its excellent knowledge of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, leases and insolvency-related property sales.
