Having spent a substantial part of her career managing the legal department of a bank in Northern Ireland and advising its departments and branches on banking/legal matters, Patricia specialises in general banking law and practice, banking contracts, customer terms and conditions of business and security documents. She regularly advises lenders in relation to finance agreements and all forms of security and property related matters. Patricia also advises housing associations on finance and compliance issues and often acts in major funding transactions involving security over multi housing schemes. 

She also has experience in other compliance matters such as anti money laundering and insolvency issues.

Patricia is recognised in Chambers UK 2019 as playing a key role in EDG’s banking practice, focusing on secured lending and general banking as well as corporate law issues. Clients say she is “pragmatic at problem solving, whilst protecting the bank’s interests.”  In relation to Social Housing, Chambers UK 2019 says that Patricia is well regarded for her handling of banking and finance matters, with notable expertise advising housing associations on governance issues and finance arrangements.
